Police nabs 51-year-old man for allegedly having sex with 14-year-old boy in Aba

The Abia State Police Command has arrested a 51-year-old man, Daniel Emeka for allegedly defiling a 14-year-old boy, Ndubuisi in a hotel in Aba area of the state.

Parading the suspect on Monday at the Command’s headquarters in Umuahia, the state capital, the State Commissioner of Police, Adeleye Oyebade, said Emeka was apprehended, “following a tip-off that the suspect lured and abused young boys in his hotel.”

The State Police boss disclosed that Ndubuisi’s mother identified simply as Ifeoma had reported the disappearance of her son on March 24, 2017, after which operatives placed the suspect’s hotel and house under surveillance.

Oyebade said the 51-year-old was arrested when he attempted to escape from the state.

Addressing reporters, Emeka admitted to taking Ndubuisi to his hotel room, but denied having canal knowledge of the victim.

Emeka said, “I am a businessman. I come to Aba to buy goods, which I take to Lagos for sale. I do come to Aba with my son, who is 15-year-old. It was my son that brought the boy (Ndubuisi) to our room.

“He told me that the boy was driven away by his mother after a quarrel, and since it was late in the night, I allowed the boy to sleep with us.”
