Posse scholarship – Details and How to Apply

The Posse scholarship is a fully financed academic scholarship award given on the basis of merit to students who meet the requirements to attend Posse’s partner colleges and universities in the United States. The scholarship foundation was founded in 1898, and in 2010, it was chosen as one of the 10 NGOs to receive a portion of President Obama’s Nobel Peace Prize money.

Posse has been identifying and training young individuals with outstanding talent who could be overlooked by elite schools for more than 30 years. The initiative groups Scholars into Posses, or 10-student supportive, multicultural groups. Posse Scholars graduate with a 90 percent success rate thanks to mentoring and full-tuition leadership scholarships from affiliated universities. They are well-equipped and well-positioned for success as alumni.

To identify and pick only brilliant and deserving recipients, Posse collaborates with a network of public high schools and community-based organizations in more than 20 cities.

Nominees participate in Posse’s distinctive recruitment process, The Dynamic Assessment Process, for three months.
