Ambrose’s deal permanent Scottish Premiership side Hibernian have completed the signing of Nigeria defender from champions Celtic.
This move follows Ambrose impressing Hibs during his loan spell with the club as he helped them clinch the Scottish Championship title and promotion to the top division.
Ambrose, 28, found regular playing time difficult to come by at Celtic and was sent out on a short loan spell in March which has now paid dividends.
He played eight times for Hibernian, scoring one goal to impress coach Neil Lennon to take sign him on a permanent basis.
The club, however, need to get an endorsement and a work visa for Ambrose before the move is ratified.
Ambrose was part of Nigeria’s Afcon winning team of 2013 and also played for the Super Eagles at the 2014 Fifa World Cup in Brazil.
He has played 51 times for Nigeria, scoring four goals.
